PX 8S2 vs Focal Bathys

I have both and also the MG... Read it and I hope it can help you. Sound Performance The B&W Px8 S2 (The "Musical" Choice) Signature: It has a warm, lush, and bass-heavy sound profile. It’s designed to be smooth and "expensive" sounding rather than surgically accurate. Strengths: The low-end has

Worth the wait

Lots will surpass the m4. Maybe not in the price range, especially now that they are selling for $260. Focal bathys OG and MG wireless are way higher quality. Bower and Wilkins p8, noble audio fokus Apollo. All leagues ahead of the m4. Verging audiophile quality for wireless

How does the px8 s2 compare to the focal bathys??

Your kid is lucky to have access to audiophile headphones as a teenager. My interest in high quality audio developed as a teenager, but I had no such influence from my parents and no access to high quality gear. Love him being in high school and able to snub the xm5 for the muddy mess that it is. Th

Worth $1,000 More? Original Bathys vs. Bathys MG (Still in Return Window)

It’s only my own opinion, discolure I own the Bathys (and a few other Bluetooth ANC headphones including competing Senn HDB630 and Momentum 4). I went into my hi-fi store last week for a speaker repair and I took the time while waiting to compare the Bathys (which I own and know well) and the Bathys

PX8s2 vs Focal Bathys Mg

To me the Bathys is tuned for clarity. It has a slight "V-shape" ( I prefer W shape, off course!😆) but leans toward a refined, detailed high-end that suits strings and woodwinds beautifully. While the Bathys MG has a slight "Focal" warmth in the low-end, it is far more balanced and detailed than ty

What happened to headphones being a statement piece!

10000% worth it. Technically, I don't like to compare to "slash through" prices, they usually go for around 350 new consistently. Again, even at 350 there's no better for the sound quality. They run hand in hand, and some say they surpass the focal bathys, the all around winner for the 500-600 dolla

Is Qobuz technically the best streaming platform out there for music quality?

Saw an advert for the new Focal Bathys MG just a week or two ago. Nearly twice the cost of originals. Not sure of details, but believe the driver elements are upgraded. Here’s a review I just found: Bathys MG Review Back to sound quality … I like the Bathys very much. But if you are listening with B

Advice needed - upgrade from Bose QC35

I haven’t spent a lot of time with the QCU, but I have and love the Bathys. They’ve displaced all of my other ANC sets for travel. The sound quality is excellent; they compete with some pretty serious open-backs in my collection and perform quite favorably. The ANC isn’t as good as some other sets (

PX7 S3 Review

The Focal Bathys sounded great! Definitely less emphasis in the bass, which is a bit of a negative for me, but you can EQ in the app - and it avoids being boomy like the Px7 (that I came from) sometimes feel. AptX Adaptive was just as good as the Px7, and there was definitely better clarity througho
