PX 8S2 vs Focal Bathys
I have both and also the MG... Read it and I hope it can help you. Sound Performance The B&W Px8 S2 (The "Musical" Choice) Signature: It has a warm, lush, and bass-heavy sound profile. It’s designed to be smooth and "expensive" sounding rather than surgically accurate. Strengths: The low-end has

Sennheiser HDB 630, available now!
Different tuning, access to PEQ; hopefully improved ANC and transparency, with less occlusion. Unpopular opinion, but despite Sound Personalization being nearly as good as AAT for producing a near-PEQ-like tuning, I will gladly pay the entrance fee for an ANC headphone with an actual parametric EQ o

Bose qc ultra gen2 doesn't feel premium.
If you think that's bad, you should see what actual cheap ones feel like. I don't think the QCU2s are that bad. If you want more premium stuff, you need to jump up to the next tier of audiophile wireless headphones. B&W PX8 S2, Focal Bathys MG, Dali IO-12, etc.

Noise reduction headphones made n Europe!
There are few , for start the Focal website state that the drives are indeed made in France ( regarding the Bathys) not mentioning the headphones itself. Some reviews web sites mention the Made in France Drivers and the assembling elsewere. Also there some pictures of the back of the case ,and is po

Today I’ve returned my B&W PX8 S2’s
My tested recommendation: Get the Focal Bathys MG instead! The PX8 S2 reviews vs the actual experience are two different things I found. I ve been meaning to replace my Bang Olufsen H95 after 5 years. I had high hopes for the PX 8. they seemed to finally combine design and sound. I ve tried literally

Momentum 4 - sound quality issues
Open backs often lack dynamics to my ears, compared to closed backs or speakers. There are exceptions, but it's mostly not what they're going for. The Focal Bathys are a pair of (moderately overpriced) premium ANC headphones: https://daemonxar.com/2025/06/21/focal-bathys-review-premium-sound-quality

Got the H100’s…. Meh.
Saying this as someone who was a big BO fanboy: H100 are about status, not audiophile listening. I had H95 for five years, in a side by side comparison I also prefered the sound of H95 vs H100. However: I ended up going for Focal Bathys MG. And they are just on another level than the BO sound. Once

HDB 630 vs Bathys OG (vs PX8 S2)
I had the Chance to demo both the OG and MG Bathys in the Focal & Naim shop in Paris (tested all presets: wireless and DAC modes + with and without the Mimi personalization + with and without the Dynamic EQ): The OG Bathys sounded great to my ears... Until I tried the MG. It was impossible to like o

Considering the Px8 S2 as an early birthday present to myself, few questions

Audiophile Wireless Headset for Gaming and Music for ~$300
Brilliant! Listed 40 hours. I never ran out. Look for reviews. I can promise you it sounds very close to Focal Bathys, for a ton less money! The only things you're sacrificing are build quality and ANC, but that's very much understandable considering the sheer value. It's the best value wireless hea
