Replacing old Rokits - which way to go
I auidtioned Alpha Evos in store. And I have had a few Focals in my life. My impression of the 65s was that they have a sweet top end, clarity, smooth frequency response and driver integration, and a "pleasing quality" to the sound that is still accurate, but not unpleasant to listen to. Adams T8V vs JBL 308
HS8s will be more clear sounding than the JBLs. ADAMs are an acquired taste with their AMT tweeters. Focal Alpha Evo 80 or Kali IN8 might be worth looking at.
