Brand New to Turntables and Feeling Overwhelmed

I started off with an RT82, Ai61 speakers and a PA10 phono. My thoughts: RT82 is a good entry-level deck for its price point. If you can't (or don't want to) spend considerably more, and don't want to buy vintage or used, I think it's a good one to go with. The Ai61 powered speakers sound good to me

Looking for a good set of pc speakers for around $200-$300

I personally have no experience with the D3V, but I am familiar with Adams T series and the A series and believe that they offer good value for money. In my opinion, the D3V delivers good measurement results (Adam; EAC). It is clear that, for its size and intended use, it is a linear loudspeaker wit

Fluance RT82 with Ai41 - too quiet?

Missing a phono preamp. What is a phono preamp? Ai41 powered speakers have a built in speaker amp, not a built in phono preamp. Emotiva PH1 $59 plus $12 shipping or Fosi X5 Phono $109 shipped. Pass on the Fluance PA10. Speaker Placement • Intro to Home Stereo Systems • Turntable and Speakers Setup G

Turntable Guides

Which phono preamp? Which Fluance speakers? The Magnat Monitor cost less and may be better than Fluance Ai41 and the Magnat add a built in phono preamp.

Is this any good?

I think one option I'd personally consider while still trying to keep the budget in check would be the Klipsch Reference R-40PM powered speakers at $283 if you can stretch that far, or the Klipsch R-41PM at just $198 if you can't. The R-40PM is the "new and improved" model over the older R-41PM. (De

Fluance Ai40 Active Speaker Dead Amp? Help

I’m having the exact same issue with my Ai41’s which have only seen light use. Fluance’s suggestion was to “check my local yellow pages to locate an electronics workshop in your area which can diagnose and service them”. Has anybody gotten anywhere with this issue?

RT81+ First Upgrade?

I assume you are currently using the phono preamp built in to the turntable. Usually these are fairly ordinary, so investing in a decent external phono preamp will ensure the full potential of the turntable/cartridge can be heard. Don't bother with a cheapie as it will be no better than the built in
