I am happy with my <$1000 setup and don't want to upgrade!
I'm a hair over $1K (Flair 49 pro, Zero 65 AP, eWizard), and very happy with the results. And the learning curve for me is steep. So many variables. Every morning is Forest Gump. "Box of chocolates..." Small changes introduce all sorts of variabilities in the pull, the output volume, when the pressu

Follow up to my 49pro problem
Yours was mis-assembled, mine was too, that cutout should be 90 degrees offset from the plunger wings. You can see how it should look here: https://flairespresso.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/flair_49_pro_lifestyle_21_woo_optimized.jpg Get a hex driver and unscrew those 4 screws (you can see 1 of them cl

49 pro vs 58X
I have the 49 pro, and preheat twice. For me it isn't inconvenient as it has become part of my normal rhythm and cadence. And I've also never tried just preheating once, so I have no idea if I'm overkilling it. OTOH, I'm leaning lighter as I typically roast City or City+, so maybe it should stay in

Flair 49 Pro or Flair Pro 3? (First Manual)
I'll be taking notes on what you've said for what to buy and how to care for flair manual espresso. You and other redditors (?) help me decide to end up going for Flair 49 Pro as my first manual as for the following reasons: Better workflow compared to Flair Pro 3, for sure my family would definitel

$5.99 DeLonghi Goodwill Special
I got one of the same machine 7 years ago for a girl i was with that worked at an overly sugary/terrible espresso shop and she "taught me" and i used it for 2 years daily. I got another one free that needed cleaning on marketplace right after and i ran it like crazy. After getting it dialed in with

Notes on some Flair 49 accessories, calling for notes on stuff others have tried
i use the 'pancake tamper' made by sworks, 49.8mm size. i've also used sworks' force tamper base in 49.8mm. both work great with my sworks basket. my flair 49 pro stock basket has 50.09mm inner diameter at the top (it has the slightest narrowing as you get deeper in the basket.) my flair stock tampe

PRICE INCREASE
You can get the rok or flair 49 pro. Or something. Flairs even go on sale and there built to life also.

What’s the next upgrade after Bambino?
OP, if your espresso focus, you should get a fully manual lever. You're not gonna get better results than that sub-$1000. Maybe check out the Flair 49 Pro or the Cafelat Robot, both under $500 and outclassing everything in that price bracket.

58 or 58+2 or 49 pro
It’s pure function mechanical engineering - no electrics. I’m an electrical engineer and even I admire the pure functionality of the flair 49 pro. It’s ridiculous how people here are complaining about heating the chamber it takes a few minutes before your pull, and retains the pure mechanical nature

Compact and pretty setup…
If you don't need a milk steamer -- Flair Classic + Starseeker Edge Mini around 17k or Flair 49 Pro + Edge Mini 30k 😉
