49 pro vs 58X
I have the 49 pro, and preheat twice. For me it isn't inconvenient as it has become part of my normal rhythm and cadence. And I've also never tried just preheating once, so I have no idea if I'm overkilling it. OTOH, I'm leaning lighter as I typically roast City or City+, so maybe it should stay in

Notes on some Flair 49 accessories, calling for notes on stuff others have tried
i use the 'pancake tamper' made by sworks, 49.8mm size. i've also used sworks' force tamper base in 49.8mm. both work great with my sworks basket. my flair 49 pro stock basket has 50.09mm inner diameter at the top (it has the slightest narrowing as you get deeper in the basket.) my flair stock tampe
