Best Ultramarathon Lighting System 2026
The Fenix only does 160 lumens for 10.5 hours and drops to 50 lumens https://zeroair.org/2021/05/26/fenix-hm65r-t-headlamp-review You can't put it on your waist either. I run with two Nitecore HA11 and HA15, both 1xAA and one can be put on your head and one put on your waist, with 2 spare batteries

Headlamp for 100M (12 hours in the darkness)
Here's some considerations: Buy good buy once rather than saving a few bucks and buying another one down the road, I have too many head torches, I wish I'd known about and purchased what I have now, even though expensive I would have saved money in the long run Don't believe any of the numbers for p

Did someone figure out what brand/headlamp is true to their specs and which is the 'best' bang for buck?
https://zeroair.org/2021/05/26/fenix-hm65r-t-headlamp-review/ This review it shows medium (400 lumens) mode dropping to about 160 lumens in about 20 minutes. I didn't buy this headtorch because of these reviews. Mad how every single time i mention it's not a 400 lumen headtorch, more like mid 100 lu

Best Ultramarathon Lighting System 2026
This a great post - I do disagree with a few points: a) I don't think 150 lumens will be enough for a lot of people. For me, I prefer 300-400 lumens as a 54 year old guy who wears glasses. So I target a 5-6 hour runtime with one battery change during the night.b) I have the Fenix HM65R-T V2.0 and if

If this is the HM65T then it actually drops down to a little more than 100 lumens after 1 hour. You'll never ever see this said in a trail running video review on Youtube, they're also part of the problem. I've mentioned this a few times in the subreddit but people seem to want to defend the headtor

Headlamp questions regarding red light
My main preferences are battery life and beam quality, with some attention to material quality. I know that nothing solid (quality wise) and reliable tends to be cheap, and I don't mind a light that has weight (granted, nobody wants a headlamp that weighs so much that looking up can make it slip off

Headtorch Recommendations
THats not their run times, thye are claimed and not reality. https://zeroair.org/2019/11/05/fenix-hm65r-headlamp-review/ It drops down from 400 lumens immediately and ends up at about 60 lumens within 100 minutes. It's even worse than I said.

Headtorch Recommendations
You've just proved your own point, it drops to 160 lumens within 20 minutes https://zeroair.org/2021/05/26/fenix-hm65r-t-headlamp-review/ I run two single AA torches for a full nights racing/running/adventuring and get similar to that but with two beam angles, one on the head and one on the waist.
