My beloved Baratza ESP broke. Got the cheapest step up, a Eureka Mignon Zero because it was on sale. The difference is jaw-dropping. What have I been missing out on.
I ‘downgraded’ to the femobook a2 and it makes significantly better coffee for less than half the price of the baratza

kingrinder k6 grind setting
Shoot that's for the original not the 10:1. I know on the 10:1 on my Femobook A2. I use setting 6 setting 5 for the 3:1. So this is a guess but maybe 55-65 should be where you start. This isn't espresso so dont expect a perfect puck everything. Ive had some messy pucks produce some great coffee/soup

what is the best grinder for ooey gooey chocolate bomb espresso?
It’s not a Femobook A2. I had someone recommend that when I was chasing the same flavor and it is thin, and non chocolatey.

[MOD] The Daily Question Thread
Outside the box suggestion, but Femobook A2 is a portable, rechargable battery powered grinder, that allegedly uses the same heptagonal burr as 1zPresso Q2. It's way cheaper than K-Ultra, and a friend tells me it's flavor profile is very similar to Comandante C40/K-Ultra (he has experience with a lo

Brew by weight on Micra with Bookoo scale
it does. but most people would not need it, because they do not drink the coffees i drink. the burrs alone cost more than average grinder. for example (if you are curious), i drink coffees that are considered nordic light or superlight. and mostly washed coffees from kenya or ethiopia that are grown

My biggest takeaway from World of Coffee 2026
Sorry to be late on this: right now on conical I'm rocking with a Lagom Casa and an A2 Femobook. I actually really love the latter, if you are looking for a budget option or just a conical to play around with next to flats. The Casa is also fantastic, and gives plenty of clarity for a conical. In th

Grinders that punch above their weight
I have the Femobook A2. I paid £67 for it and it works a treat with my Flair Neo Flex. Now I've no experience of using the A2 with a pump machine, so can't offer any advice there. But for my lever "machine", it makes a great shot. I use it twice a day, every day, and get consistent results every tim
