I don’t think Fellow is getting the movement on Espresso Series 1 that they expected

Anecdotal data point. I would have sold my Lelit Bianca and bought the Espresso Series 1 asap if my Aiden experience wasn’t as bad. Such a fragile design is already unacceptable for a $350 machine and I currently don’t trust Fellow with a $1000+ machine.

La Marzocco linea micra vs decent espresso vs wait for fellow espresso series 1 [$4500]

Fellow Series 1 could be a great value for the money, or it could be a total bust. AFAIK, no independent reviewer has used it outside of a demo that was carefully orchestrated by Fellow. But if you believe in the adage "you get what you pay for", FS1 is highly unlikely to perform in the same league

Espresso Series 1 owners, be aware that volumetric mode is turned on by default…

Thank you for this post. I'm a Fellow fan-boy. Been buying there stuff since day 1. My wife and I got the Series 1 - our first espresso machine. We love espresso and a good latte, but never had a machine at home. I feel like we are the target audience for a machine like this. Out of the box volume s

What's going on with Drops? Getting iffy.

I had ZERO luck with Gitare AB. Complete waste. It was the most frustrating coffee I have ever tried to dial in. The ES1 profile spit out the same yield no matter what grind I used, and I’ve calibrated my volumetric settings according to fellows recommendations. I think if fellow is going to recomme

Continue to wait for fellow espresso series one, or move on to something else? [$3,500]

So the temperature sensor on the wand is definitely something I haven't seen before: I would be concerned with accidentally touching the sensor against hot metal, stopping flow of steam. Auto-purging of steam wand when it's in down position is not necessarily something I would want. Pre-infusion / p

FlairEspresso or Fellow Espresso Series 1

It won’t do flow profiling and for me, this is the biggest advantage of the Flair. Adjusting pressure to maintain flow rate means you can regulate contact time, so you’re getting the same extraction as the puck degrades. Nick from Fellow who’s been leading the project talks about this in reply #41 i

Opus + Fellow ES1 = messy and inconsistent… worth waiting for Opus 2?

Yeah i spent a great deal of time reviewing grinders before deciding on the X64SD. I preordered the ES1 so going fellow for the family set up was on my mind. After numerous reviews talking about retention and how it’s more of a coffee grinder, i opted for anything else. Eureka makes solid grinders a

Every shot taste a bit sour

Thanks guys for the help, it is very helpful. Bought a bag of cheap medium roast decaf and have some fun. Running out of mugs Here is all the shot I made. I dilute it with 160ml of water. Smaller grind setting number means finer grind. Name grind_setting input_weight time output_weight fellow_profile br

Fellow Opus gen 2?!

Excited about the grinder, but as I won’t be able to use my Fellow ES1 without a grinder, I just can’t wait a couple weeks and not test if my ES1 even works. I’m sure not releasing them together was a logistic necessity and not a choice, but kind of a bummer because I’m sure a lot of ES1 people who
