Espresso Series 1

Anecdotal data point. I would have sold my Lelit Bianca and bought the Espresso Series 1 asap if my Aiden experience wasn’t as bad. Such a fragile design is already unacceptable for a $350 machine and I currently don’t trust Fellow with a $1000+ machine.

Fellow Series 1 could be a great value for the money, or it could be a total bust. AFAIK, no independent reviewer has used it outside of a demo that was carefully orchestrated by Fellow. But if you believe in the adage "you get what you pay for", FS1 is highly unlikely to perform in the same league

So the temperature sensor on the wand is definitely something I haven't seen before: I would be concerned with accidentally touching the sensor against hot metal, stopping flow of steam. It won’t do flow profiling and for me, this is the biggest advantage of the Flair. Adjusting pressure to maintain flow rate means you can regulate contact time, so you’re getting the same extraction as the puck degrades.
