Beginner losing his mind with brand new coffee grinder.
Eureka grinders are notorious for their grind size adjustment dial: The adjustment wheel can be rotated multiple times going coarser/finer and there is no way of knowing on which turn (a.k.a. how fine/coarse) you are. It's true the zero point is relative, but the bigger problem is that the Eureka Mi

Grinder upgrade?
As a comment above, think what you expect from coffee. Flat burr - for light and medium roast Conical burr - for dark roast For DF64 if you pick gen 2.5 you are covered. Also in same price rand you can buy: eureka - zero 65 AP, single dose, pro; df64 -> anything closer to this spec:~65mm burr and ze

10+ Year Machine Still Kickin
Profitec move and Eureka Libra AP 65. I’m just having a lot of trouble getting consistent shots, and I find myself constantly tweaking the grind settings

Eureka Libra - 3 years since it came out... any thoughts?
I have a Eureka Mignon Libra AP 65mm with grind by weight. I use about a hopper of beans (generally a medium roast) in a week (~340g/12oz), and don’t notice any real change from the first beans from a freshly-opened bag to the end of the hopper fill. However, the workflow is … meh. The beans jam in

Does anyone have a Eureka Atom Excellent 65 or W65 with mini hopper?
interesting, in a commercial setting I could see it failing without a doubt. But none of the other issues have shown up, I clean it semi regularly and never see a ton of build up inside. It was not noticeably more then what I have seen on my specialita or Libra, any compacted coffee is on par with w

Upgrading from Niche Zero
I never moved on from the NZ--just added a 83mm flat burr grinder because I thought that I would like to play with lighter roasts. Taste-wise, for darker roasts, I don't think there are many upgrade paths. Workflow wise--I love the single dose both for retention and for the versatility to swap beans

Mini or Micra?
I have the mignon libra but I’d go for something with a larger burr set if i were to do it again. The grinds come out less clumpy the larger the burrs, generally speaking. I’ve heard good things about the allground sense too.

I did a thing! And I’m so glad I did it.
I’ve used a mignon zero (same burrs as the specialita but remove the timer and add a bellows) and an atom 75w (probably similar to the atom 65 but hard to be sure how burrs change across sizes). The grounds come out way faster and fluffier from the w75, but the retention is much higher even before h

Round Two! Looking for a good grinder for espresso with easy cleaning & maintenance other than Niche Zero [$1000]
My advice would be to check out Facebook marketplace for good secondhand commercial gear. I ended up buying a commercial 83 mm grinder for $150 (Ceado E8) for my “holiday” home. It kicks ass. I have a Eureka mignon libra at home, friends have Df64, Specialitas, etc. The 83mm burs and 740W motor beat
