I have my own (mini) Rocky! 🥰
Thank you! I currently have an Elegoo Saturn 4 Ultra printer, which I recently upgraded to from a much smaller Elegoo Mars (first generation). It's been pretty much foolproof since I bought it, once I'd manually levelled it. I also have the Elegoo Mercury Plus v3 wash and cure station, which has hug

New to Resin - which saturn?
Generally speaking the Saturn 4 Ultra 16k is the best option for most people. I investigated and wrote the original post explaining the 3-bit grayscale deficiency and it is still present. I also bought a S4U 16k and subsequently worked out a dithering method with UVTools to restore a significant por

Looking to replace my current printers. Need input from professionals
Elegoo Mars 3 Pro, Saturn 3 and Saturn 4 Ultra owner, been running them for the past 4 years +. (Starting slowly with the Mars and building up to the later ones. ) I use Chitubox Pro for slicing. Only had an issue once with a power switch pcb which Elegoo was happy to provide after verifying it was

Is buying doll bodies or getting a resin printer better?
I’ve got an Elegoo Saturn printer - the 1st one. They’re up to Saturn 4 now. I freaking love my Saturn 1. I just did a quick eBay search and found a Saturn 2 going for $150. If you can find something refurbished, or a good looking used one with some decent-sounding guarantees around it, there’s no n

production printer recommendations pleasee
I second this. A resin printer would also be good to use to print your figure and cast it into a mold in order to produce more. Personally, I have 2 Elegoo Mars 4 Max printeds and an Elegoo Saturn 4 Ultra, I love them both! One of my Max printers just had the screen die, but I had gotten a lot of us

Best resin printer for minis and dummies
My elegoo saturn 4 ultra has been the most foolproof printer I've had. The tipping vat works incredibly well

Anycubic M7 or Elegoo Saturn 4 Ultra?
Anycubics are a larger gamble in terms of QC than Elegoo. A lot of M7s come with concave plates. On top of that, Anycubics can't use per layer wait times, so they have even more trouble with adhesion than other auto-leveling printers, especially with low cure depth resins (light colored/high detail)

New hoopat with the new silicon seal and it still leaked!
Oh nice! Right to the source of it all thank you. I actually use PFA instead of ACF, Elegoo tried acf with the Saturn 3 and then ditched it. Chitu ships PFA with this hoopat x4 for the Saturns as well so I just kept using it. So far it’s worked great on my Saturn 4 ultra 16k. Very few failures. I ac

Elegoo Jupiter 2
I agree with those points. But I’ve had Anycubic and Elegoo printers and my Saturn 4 ultra 16k has been FAR more reliable than my Anycubic ever was. I do wish they had thought more on those design choices though.

Suggestions for next printer?
If the Saturn 3 (non-Ultra) is available to you, it's the best bang for your buck and last of the non auto-leveling printers worth buying. Usually less than $270. Heygears is running a sale on the Reflex RS for $499, which is the lowest that printer has ever been. It's probably the only auto-levelin
