best resin 3d printer for detailed miniatures, what should I look at?
I got an Elegoo Saturn 4 Ultra 16k recently, with the Mercury wash and cure station. It's pretty amazing, I've printed some crazy stuff on there.

I have my own (mini) Rocky! 🥰
Thank you! I currently have an Elegoo Saturn 4 Ultra printer, which I recently upgraded to from a much smaller Elegoo Mars (first generation). It's been pretty much foolproof since I bought it, once I'd manually levelled it. I also have the Elegoo Mercury Plus v3 wash and cure station, which has hug

Is the HeyGears RS worth the price difference over the Saturn 4 ultra 16k
Unquestionably yes. I have two s4u16k’s and a reflex rs turbo. The Heygears is hands down the better machine. It makes better prints with identical models and resin I use elegoo abs-like 3.0+ on the PARP10 setting at 50nm layers and it makes gorgeous prints. Sharp detail and crisp edges every time E

Elegoo Saturn 4 Ultra 16k - Water Washable
I'll just assume it bots or something, but for whatever reason, this thread is just filled with wrong answers. Well, technically the Wait time before print suggestion is correct, but is still useless because it fails to provide any guidelines for settings or why it works. Rest / Wait time is why you

What is the BambuLab A1 of resin printing?
At the price point, the Saturn 4 Ultra 12k or 16k are $800-1200 of machine for $400-500. It and Heygears (at that $1200+ price point) do the most to absolve the user of tuning a dozen speeds and feeds for the Z-axis movement / release & retract cycle. Heygears does this by having their slicing and p

New to Resin - which saturn?
Generally speaking the Saturn 4 Ultra 16k is the best option for most people. I investigated and wrote the original post explaining the 3-bit grayscale deficiency and it is still present. I also bought a S4U 16k and subsequently worked out a dithering method with UVTools to restore a significant por

FDM vs Resin printed mini's - a noobs visual reference.
That's what I was thinking. I dont know if it is the water washable resin or what, but my wife and I started with resin printing with the Saturn 4 Ultra, and it prints amazing detail with out of the box functionalities. It generally either fails to print entirely or prints beautifully. Larger pieces

Photon P1 vs Saturn 4 Ultra 16k
No build plate flatness issue with the Saturn 4 Ultra outside rare individual defects, but it will typically not achieve 100% perfect Z accuracy the first several layers. You will want to use a high amount of Rest After Retract (Chitubox) / Wait time before cure (UVTools) using UVTools for the first

Why does this keep happening to my prints?
Yes, this would/should apply to all printers. The "tilting VAT" feature is merely a different way to separate the models from the release film but this doesn't change that the layer is still printed on the release film and therefore sticks to it. In addition, those newer Elegoo printers use a better

Need help with Saturn 4 ultra 16k
Hey, I'm not at my PC right to see my exact settings, but I used to be struggling like you to print any more sizeable objects. And my prints would be a coin flip even when printing the same file twice. On advise of someone who used to struggle as well I dropped down layer height to 0.030mm and my ex
