Was thinking of buying a H2D but friends are warning me away from Bambu?

They also keep producing spare parts. No idea if that will continue, but as a comparison, my Saturn 3 Ultra, which I bought last year, has a dead screen and Elegoo has stopped manufacturing them. I can find one third party or buy off of aliexpress, but you're talking about like $130 for something th

Why is Australia getting shafted !

Load of crap. This type of item is duty free and there's only a 10% sales tax which is comperable to most places in the world. Shipping from china is also pretty affordable, not saying we are the cheapest but we arn't no outlier especially for something this small and light. A 10-15% price increase

New Arrival

Print quality is the same as on the Saturn 3 Ultra. But with this one you get more design flaws. Elegoo really showing off their lack of knowledge in their own products. Absolute ridiculous.

Screen's end of life ?

Those black dots ? Yep, screen is dead. You bought it in 2023 ? Either you don't print often, or you're very lucky. Prints don't hold for long across multiple prints. It's perfectly normal, ask yourself : why your printer has a 1 year warranty, except the screen which has a 6 months warranty ? And a

Upgrading from Mars 2 to maybe a Saturn 3 ultra. Advice?

Because the non Ultra has better UV uniformity (light). The Ultra can also have bad castings in the build plate head and z arm that can prevent you from leveling it. The non Ultra comes with nFEP/PFA release film, while the Ultra comes with ACF. ACF causes fine vertical lines to appear on smooth sur

Just about done with him.

I usually use my fdm to do bases but this one couldn’t be done that way. My resin printer is an elegoo Saturn 3 ultra. Ran me $220 plus the wash/cure station and an extra cleaning bucket. Not too expensive but, it’s a GIANT MESS to use no matter how clean you try to keep it. I have my setup in the g

Elegoo announced Australian pre-order at disgustingly upmarked price ($139 AUD = about $100 USD).

there's only a 10% sales tax which is comperable to most places in the world. Shipping from china is also pretty affordable, not saying we are the cheapest but we arn't no outlier especially for something this small and light. A 10-15% price increase is justifiable, this is nearly double!. For some

Maybe it's the photos but can't spot any layer lines, do you use anti aliasing? I too use a saturn 3 ultra but seem to get layer lines a bit, any tips? I mainly use Lychee for slicing and tend to use elegoo 8k resin

Vale a pena comprar uma Mars 5 Ultra?

The Saturn 3 Ultra has worse UV uniformity, can have casting issues that prevent you from fully leveling, and comes with ACF release film as standard. ACF is known to cause fine vertical lines on smooth surfaces, and people complained so much Elegoo discontinued it after the Mars 4 Ultra and Saturn

Suggestions for next printer?

Worse UV uniformity, has the same design as Phrozens, which have a mirror in the path and so only the central area of the LCD has good UV power and it drops off like a cliff afterwards. Elegoo went back to the design of the Saturn 2/3 for the Saturn 4s (COB + fresnel only). Also can get bad castings
