First print and now I understand
Yeah resin is great if you're down for messing with the goop, I have an OG Elegoo Mars and it still does great work, I can only imagine the newer ones. For me printing is just like, what do you mean I can just get any model of my whims in a few hours or like less then a day? I have an FDM as well an

I just can't anymore, I think I'm done
Honestly you are probably missing something basic. Mars 4 is a pretty noob friendly system. I one time was trying to force failed print troubleshooting another printer and the dang little thing would just keep outputting prints in conditions that would have failed any other printer. Did you print th

How screwed am I?
contact elegoo , they should send you a new plate :) Or worst case, replacement plates for the mars 4 dont cost much. (btw, mars 4 is not compatible with AA. dont try it, you will get failed prints. Just trying to save you resin :) )

Are LCD screens supposed to die or break this often?
I don't know how much you use it, but I've had an elegoo mars 4 max 6k for around 2,5 years and I use it for ~20-30 hours every 1,5-2,5 months, and it doesn't show any signs of failure, though I ordered a new lcd screen for spare part.

how reputable are elegoo printers?
I have 2 elegoo printers (Mars 4 Max and Saturn 4U 16k), and can’t complain with any, they are 2 workbeasts. It’s much a matter of luck and proper maintenance.

best resin 3d printer for a beginner, which one should I get?
I bought a Elegoo Mars 4 Ultra about six months ago from Elegoo’s site for about $200 and using lychee’s slicer I have been printing very crisp detailed miniatures like crazy. I’ve just gotten in to One Page Rules and my printer has been running literally non-stop for the last three weeks. Here is a

Mars 4 Vs Mars 5
I recommend the mars 4 ultra, but to change the fep for the mars 4 non ultra out of the box. The mars 4 ultra comes with ACF film which is cloudy and can reduce print sharpness. The mars non ultra 4 has a clear fep. Very easy to change. Or just live with the cfa film, its less sharp but not by a mas

3D Printer
If you want high detail parts, you'll pretty much have to go resin. The resin itself is toxic and has carcinogenic fumes. You absolutely need good ventilation to run it. I run my resin printer in my basement in an enclosure and vent it out the well through the window. The important thing is that the
