I recommend the mars 4 ultra, but to change the fep for the mars 4 non ultra out of the box. The mars 4 ultra comes with ACF film which is cloudy and can reduce print sharpness. I have 2 elegoo printers (Mars 4 Max and Saturn 4U 16k), and can’t complain with any, they are 2 workbeasts. It’s much a matter of luck and proper maintenance.

Imho - you should upgrade. New printers have a much better screen resolution and printing speeds. My general recommendation for small printers = Mars 4 ultra. For midsize - Saturn 3 \ Saturn 3 ultra. Slicers - depends. Will you buy subscription ? Or use free version ? $$$ slicer - lychee plus. Free

Generally speaking? Resin. I have an Elegoo Mars 4 and its my best buddy. The specific Resin I use depends on the things I print.
