Whats the best enclosed 3d printer for beginners

Avoid Bambu. Good printers, but the company sucks. Look at the Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2. It's inexpensive and has some good features.

Is it worth twice the price? (U1 vs P1S)

I would say so. The p1s is discontinued. No more software updates/support. In a while parts will become unavailable. Not to mention bambu being quite hostile towards the community on top of that. But if you don't need multimaterial and are fine with more wasted filament when doing multi-color. You s

Lost looking for a printer. Advice much appreciated

Get an A1 - it will be MUCH kinder to you than any of the others you’ve listed. If your goal is to PRINT stuff that’s the best entry point. Second would be the Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2.

Need help on first 3d printer

Go a little bit over your budget, and get an Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2. Bambu A1 Combo (or A1 mini I guess if you feel like you don't need the extra print space) is a valid option too, but I'd much prefer an enclosed CoreXY in case you ever want to print a part that isn't PLA or PETG.

New to 3d printing and shopping around

Despite what others may say, the Elegoo brand was made as a functional and affordable brand to get you a product that isn't overly expensive but it also isn't made to be a "Premium" printer. Parts wear out, maintenance is required, and the manufacturer stands by their products in many times even pas

What printer should I buy?

Most users that print mini's and figures go with either a small fdm printer, or for best quality - resin printing though that requires a special setup and ventilation. Check out the following post to see what to expect of FDM vs Resin prints with minis: https://www.reddit.com/r/PrintedMinis/comments

3D printing advice

The Centari Carbon 2 is a pretty good printer. It has the ability to switch from 4 different filaments for printing in more than one color, and is very fast for an FDM printer. I got mine for $450 USD right on the day they went on sale. Elegoo also has pretty decent deals on PLA. I've also got an ol

Birthday gift recs!

you're not going to find a 3d printer with a scanner - that's not a thing. for printer recs, take a look at the Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2 Combo or the BambuLab A1 Combo. both are actually good value for your price range. I'd you want something with a smaller footprint, there's an A1 Mini.
