None of the above. It’s just live comedy, I’d put the money into a single good PA speaker from a good brand (Yamaha, RCF, EV, QSC), K&M speaker stand, SM58, K&M mic stand and a good quality XLR cable. As for which box: the EV Everse units being battery powered is quite useful, but you pay a fair pre

looking for PA speakers with wireless link
This forum is geared toward pro audio, so it's where our heads are at. It's what we think of as 'PA'. However, a lot of what is needed depends on what the gig parameters are. You mentioned outside, that takes a lot more PA than if it's inside -- sound gets 'lost' easily outside. How big of a crowd a

Product suggestions - small speakers for conference tables
There are no turn key wireless speakers that don’t use Bluetooth, which would have too much latency in a live settings. EV Everse have wireless speaker linking, but again, they use Bluetooth and it may not work in a live sound setting. I would do a bunch of Fostex 6301’s and either bite the bullet a

Fully-wireless battery-powered PA speakers and mic setup - any realistic options?
I've got a pair of EV Everse 8. I use Sennheiser EW-DP for this. The EW-DP are meant to 'hang' on the side of a pro camera (for news broadcasts, etc). They come with a bracket -- the bracket easily mounts to the Everse 8 using the two existing screws for the top handle. The EW-DP clings magnetically

Fishman Loudbox Mini best all round amp ~$500?
Paid $385 cash in summer 2024 for a new Loudbox Mini. Exactly what I need for practice, creating social media content, small-venue gigs, and often working as a monitor when I’m using my Electro-Voice Evolve 30m at a gig. Could not be happier with it. Found a decent rolling case for it at (because of

Outdoor PA
What would you use instead of the MicroMix? Because the EV-Everse 8 is quite an expense, when I’ve already got a rugged speaker with loud sound

Solo acoustic musician needs new PA for corporate/wedding gigs
Battery-powered speakers: I've currently got Everse 8's and Mackie Thumpsub Go subs, and have owned JBL EON One MKII, LD Maui 5 Go, and EV Everse 12, and have used others. All current battery powered speakers lag behind comparable plug-in PA speakers in performance at a much higher cost. You pay for

Best Portable PA System for outdoor DnB Events?
TLDR: Far bigger bang-for-the-buck with plug-in PA speakers vs battery-powered speakers. Example, I've got a pair of EV Everse 8 and a pair of Mackie Thumpsub Go, all small lightweight battery-powered speakers. The 4 speakers will be over your budget. They do ok for what they are, but a pair of Yama

PA Setup - What can I use?
On the battery-powered speaker question -- All battery-powered speakers have much less output compared to a plug-in PA speaker. What you pay for is built-in battery-powered convenience, but you lose in overall output and performance, cost, size/weight, etc. Example: EV Everse 8 has a lot less output
