Hi there. Both Argon Audio and Ruark Audio make good value speakers, so those two are safe choices in my opinion. I can think of a couple more options which you might like, in both looks and sound: Cambridge Audio L/R S - black or walnut ELAC Debut ConneX DCB41 - black ash or walnut Tannoy Gold Seri

If you're in Europe, then the Kanto Ora4 should be available there and are worth demoing if you can. Also check out the ELAC Debut ConneX. Maybe even consider studio monitors like the Adam T5V.

The elac debut connex dcb41 are worth a listen. You could pick them up off Amazon and return if you hate them. I listened to them at capital audio fest last year and was thoroughly impressed.
