AP7 consensus
Gold pro with 4 AP7’s. Largely happy with them. They’re better than the eero pro 7’s I was testing previously. Still debating if I will keep them or continue to use the Asus equipment I have, but I do like the added benefits of the complete firewalla ecosystem they offer.

Alta fiber internet help needed.
As far as I know they still offer Eero devices, so using them you'd at least be using a known manufacturer. At this point in time I'd probably lean towards a device that does Wifi-7 for future devices that will be able to use that. This one is in the middle price range" https://www.microcenter.com/p

Is this Exceptional Speed?
Your iphone 16 pro is wifi 7 capable, is your router have mlo enabled, no reason you shouldn't be pushing closer to 2000 mbps. Is that the only wifi7 device you have? Many wifi 7 devises are now pushing firmware to run only on 2.4 and 6ghz band now, early results had issues with running 5 and 6 toge

Looking to upgrade to a wifi 7 router! Recommendations
Look at eero, they also have a phenomenal sale on their newest series. Look at 6e Pro, 7 Pro, or 7 Max.

Unifi Express 7 + Eero 7 Max?
I have Frontier at my house, my father has it, and my girlfriend has it. Unless they ran out, or are changing policy, you get the Eero Pro 7 with 2 gig & under plans. They only give the Max for 5 gig and over plans. My girlfriend and I got 2 gig plans in the past 5 months and we both got Pro 7. My d

Using T Mobile routers built in Wi-Fi vs TP-Link Deco Wi-Fi 6 Mesh
Use the WiFi on your mesh and NOT on the G5AR. The WiFi on the G5 is currently flaky with frequent drops especially on Apple devices. I’ve used an eero Pro 7 and a tp link BE67 with the G5 with no issues

Switching from Cable to Frontier Fiber
Thanks for the quick responses. I wanted to use the EERO pro 7 router, as my Asus TM-AC1900 router is really a T-Mobile personal cellspot router and is at least 9 years old. I decided to yank off the bandage. I disabled wifi on the Asus, renamed the EERO SSID to match the 2.4ghz SSID. I saw 17 devic

Modern mesh WiFi system vs Ethernet wired Unifi system
Look into the eero pro 7 or eero Max mesh systems…I just upgraded from the original Orbi ac3000 to the pro 7 and it is a great upgrade and can handle up to 200 devices and it offers great range performance and reliability

Buy a Router or Mesh System? For better speeds around the house
WiFi speed is one of them it all depends. You can buy the best fastest router on the market but if the device you are using to connect does not support the latest WiFi standard or 6ghz channel speed will suffer. Here is the deal if you want to get the full gigabit you need a WiFi 7 router that suppo
