Try a mesh system? I got a 2 node eero max 7 system and get perfect coverage throughout the house . In hindsight it was overkill, but mesh systems (not repeaters) seem to be quite good.

All depends on your usage. Some people run their network like a mini business IT setup and for that you want your own equipment after the ont. For the average person that just wants to stream netflix and play some video games the eero works just fine. As for the extenders I won't tell you what to do

Honestly this may be seen as blasphemy but the Eero Max 7's range outdoes every UniFi indoor AP except the E7 and up. The U7 Outdoor ones beat it though but that's kind of apples to oranges although the UniFi Outdoor installed on wall without the omni antennas at the far end of rectangular building

Not sure what you mean by a survey? Our home had FTTP installed in 2021. We were then with BT and had the 900/110 service. We moved to EE when BT did its rebranding switch and pushed residential customers to EE. In January I upgraded our service with EE to the "Full Fibre 1.6 Gigabits Premium" plan.

This. Used Eero routers for many years and virtually without a glitch. recently upgraded to Eero Max 7 was a great upgrade, and even though it was pricey, I am very happy that I did it. It’s a pricey system, but the improvement in speed, reliability, and range is clear.

I use a eero mesh system. I use a eero Max 7 as my gateway and it gives me good coverage in a 3 bedroom interior brick walled house. The spot it didn't cover very well I put a eero Pro 7 to cover that spot and linked them with ethernet cable for faster speeds and ping times and this is working great
