Compact 4" Edifier R1280 are basic entry level if you can't afford anything better. Larger 6.5" Dayton Classic may be at least a bit better and have a two sizes larger mid bass driver that should provide at least a bit lower bass and impact. They should be better and 5" are a size larger. Smaller 4" Edifier R1280 are the bare minimum if you can't afford anything good.

Built in phono preamps are often basic with a $15 value. A better phono preamp outside of the turntable is preferred. lol. The B&O Zeppelin isn't cheap or small either. The Edifier r1280 powered speakers are smaller and about the same price, ~$100 new with a warranty.

For just playing music you will be better of Edifier R1280 or Microlab Solo 26. Presonus Eris if I'm not mistaken will be tuned for studio work, more sterile and analytic. More fun to be had with these first two mentioned.
