Pair a atlp60 with edifier Mr3 speakers. Maybe have a external preamp from fosi or other chifi company if you are feeling fancy. That is the most bare ones beginner setup if you aren't willing to go vintage hunting. If you are, then that's a whole different story though.

I ended up with the Edifier Mr3 and the Edifier T5s subwoofer, far more satisfied with the basses. Though its a bit difficult to set up and requires some knowledge and time. But I had fun watching films with my friends

Very deep and wide. 10db or so. It starts around 500hz ,which is the Schroeder frequency I guess, all the way up to 13khz where the graph transforms into a flat line again. I agree. It's half the fun putting together a setup over time that you are satisfied with. My Technic's SL32 DD table works as well if not better than my SL 3200. I had a Pioneer PL 530 for a while and that was just a beauty to use, but really the same because I was playing it on the same receiver a
