It’s the Fluance RT85 worth the $500 ? This would be my 3rd turntable

I would use it with edifier R1280T speakers The basic entry level speakers are a sound quality bottleneck for your first, second and third turntable! For a $600 budget buy a $200 or $300 turntable and spend the rest on a speaker upgrade. Often passive speakers and an integrated amp or stereo receive

Needle Upgrade

I would definitely second this. The 2M red is more a sidegrade with a different tonal signature than a straight upgrade from the VM95E. VM95ML or SH as upgrades. That said, I would look into he rest of the system before getting a new stylus or cartridge. The 95e is tremendous value and your edifier

What turntables do you recommend for the Edifier 1280T's?

The Edifiers are tabletop PC speakers. An AT-LP60X is already more quality than the 1280T's can handle.

Christmas present to myself, an upgrade!

Finally upgraded to the system I've been wanting: Flaunce RT82 and Klipsch RP-600m II speakers (I've had the Sony STR-DH190 receiver already) Before photo included if you swipe. I've got some isolation pads coming in and a cleaning brush for both the record and stylus. Coming from an LP-60X and Edif

Is using studio monitors with a vinyl player weird

I use them, could get Behringer 2030A from a friend for $50. They sound a lot better than the Edifier 1280 I was using before. Only problem is they're active monitors without a volume control, but I'm using this in between: Also makes it possible to switch inputs, so I can use my CD player on my spe

Audio-Technica LP60X with EDIFIER 1280T low volume

I am having the same issue with this record player. I have an all-in-one surround sound. I had previously purchased the Edifier 1280, but returned it thinking the sound was too low. If I get this pre-amp, can I connect it to the surround sound? https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07XNTHHBP/?_encoding=UT

Lp60x + Edifier R980T

The LP60X suits some users but not everyone. The issue that gets flagged up All. The. Time in r/turntables is the lack of adjustment. Seriously, virtually every single LP60/60X post someone pipes up 'but it has no tracking force or anti-skate adjustment'. Yeah, it doesn't, just like the auto-transmi

Edifier 1280db or something similar?

I tried the Edifier 1280 and didn’t like them. Poor sound quality.
