Needle Upgrade

I would definitely second this. The 2M red is more a sidegrade with a different tonal signature than a straight upgrade from the VM95E. VM95ML or SH as upgrades. That said, I would look into he rest of the system before getting a new stylus or cartridge. The 95e is tremendous value and your edifier

Newbie setup help

I have an almost identical setup but with a Sony PS-XL310BT turn table. The fosi phono stage is new and I have really been enjoying it so far. The Edifier 1280T sound good, however the mids can get a little muddy. They fill my home office quite well though! I will say I’ve only had these speakers fo

Good turntable for 150€

There were 3 posts like this in the last 5 hours.. get an audio-technica lp60x and edifier speakers like the 1280 and you're good for sometime without feeling the need to upgrade. Worst case scenario you can still sell those for a decent price compared to any turntable that also has speakers. Search

Which of these is worth it?

I'll start off with the 'definitely not' choice. This prize goes to the Victrola Harmony. The deck is a beefed up version of the suitcase record player mech. Although they put a bigger platter on it, and fitted to tonearm with an Audio Technica AT3600L cartridge (similar to the one fitted on the LP6

Getting My Daughter in to Vinyl

The Fluance is a great way to start. Check out their package deals which include a phono preamp (if needed) and powered speakers. The 81+ paired with Edifier 1280 is a good match. If your space is limited, I have a Fluance RT82 with an Andover Spinbase and the sound is really decent (better than the

Buying my husband his first turntable, is this a good deal?

Good morning. There is a pinned comment in the turntables Reddit Sitze rally good advice in first system. These systems from House of Marley, 1byOne, Crosley are all basically the same. They are a step up from the crop of suitcase players and won’t damage your records at least. It is not a product k

Budget but good turntable?

I got a new ATLP120xUSB new off Facebook marketplace for $200 and some nice Edifier R1280T speakers for $70. I have limited space so running the powered speakers with the LP120 has been super convenient and honestly, it’s a great setup with plenty of ability to upgrade or add a preamp or receiver do

Budget Fluance RT82 setup?

RT82 + Fosi X4 + Edifier R1280Ts. Allows you to easily add a subwoofer later. Less than $600. If you can swing an extra $50 I’d get the Edifier R1700BTs for a little more wattage. Personally, I think the RT83 has a better stylus for not much more.
