Near-field studio monitors suggestions

If you haven't listened to some already, have a try of the mid-range dynaudio. I have a pair of (quite old now) BM6A, which I much prefer to my earlier Genelec 1032. They just make portable mixes.

i am listening and playing with bm5a mk2 from dynaudio. bm6a is also really nice. accurate and enough basspower... i use them with a genelec-sub which is an incredible upgrade.

Why don't the professionals who can utilize high quality gear the most have the easiest access to it?

Hmmm... I am probably an example of a hobbyist with really nice gear. For photography, I have gear that would probably be considered the best you could buy 15 years ago. (Nikon D900 series camera. Alien bees 1600 strobes, etc.) Pretty much every established photog has better gear than me. New people
