Appalling ’repair’
I recently sent my X40 for repairs and at least it came back in the same box and looked OK. The problem was it was basically worse than when I sent the thing in. Couldn't complete mapping and just kept hitting itself back into the dock over and over. I'm attempting to get a refund now. I don't want

X60 Max ultra complete vs aqua 10 roller ultra complete
I have a mova z60 which is practically identical to the aqua10. I would pass on these first generation roller mops from Mova/Dreame. Navigation isn't great, mine constantly refuses to clean certain rooms. Battery life is horrible and can't finish 1000sqft on a charge. The robot is quite thick so it

Issue with my X40 Ultra
The loud “growl” you’re hearing is the robot trying to spin the brush under heavy resistance, not the Tri-Cut itself. A few things to check that usually cause exactly this noise: • Clog in the airway behind the brush — small socks, tissue, pet toys, carpet fuzz. Even a partial blockage makes the bru

Is Dreame so bad?
I have NOTHING good to say about dreame. I have an X40 ultra, and the thing cant even put on the mops by itself, let alone do a decent scan of the apartment

My Nightmare Experience with Dreame X50 Ultra and Aqua 10 Ultra Roller
If it helps I may be in the same boat. My L40 was garbage, returned and refunded for an x40. Which was also complete trash. Navigation issues, getting stuck on literally nothing. Poor vacuuming and mopping. Dreame just sent me the x50 as a replacement and it's much much worse. Doesn't pull any water

Navigation with LIDAR down
The true quirk is the Dreame bots and probably others only see things as straight in line with the walls. XY axis.I have a rug table and couch that are at angles and my x40 has a terrible time with the rug especially. Its super annoying. The sad thing is we can add curtains at any angle. Why not rug

This is unacceptable from a $1000 vacuum (Dreame X50 Ultra)
My X40 Ultra hasn’t cleaned one of my bathrooms in a year. It goes inside, looks a round for a while and then goes out. And yes I have the same problem under the cabinets. I don’t think I’ll buy a Dreame ever again.

Interesting detail: X40/L40 weighs significantly less than X30 & X50??
FYI, this official reply is complete AI slop. Dreames entire customer service arm for western markets is outsourced to ChatGPT. None of what it said was relevant or factual. Probably a waste replying to an old post but for others ending up here, that response is mostly a hallucination. The AI Chipse

X40 Ultra
This is normal X40 behavior. The robot is being conservative because it can’t prove the tower will clear, even if it actually fits. You can’t change the height-vs-depth logic, but you can usually work around it with map tricks. Things that actually help: The curtain trick mentioned is legit. Marking

Anyone else recently switch to the X60?
I recently got the X50 and its been a HUGE letdown. I had the X40 which was so good. It never hit anything, it navigate effectly around, never got stock, cleaned everything and avoided using side brush on carpet. The x50 is like my old Roborock s5. Its garbage. It gets stuck, crashed into door frame
