Almost learned the hard way that self-closing gates aren’t foolproof
I use Tractive for gps since it has cellular, this is great for dogs who run far - you get notified when they leave the area and you can track them as long as you & them have cell service. Since I’m home I also use the Dogtra Pathfinder 2 hunting collar. It uses radio frequencies instead of cellular

GPS Tracker
Dogtra Pathfinder2. No subscription required. Tried Garmin Alpha too as we wear Garmin watches plus the general reputation. Much preferred this system and it's a fraction of the price too. We don't hunt and only have one large dog. My husband is a runner and we have virtually no cell reception at ou

Tracking collar recs?
This may not be the answer youre looking for but ill share anyway. My wife and I and our 2 v's also live on 40 acres of non viszla proof fenced property and also have zero cell service. We wanted the dogs to be able to roam the property and play but not run off and didn't want to spend 40k putting m

GPS dog collar with fence feature - Dogtra Pathfinder 2?
These 3 are very different products. It really depends on what you are specifically looking for the product to achieve for you. If you want to check in on your dog remotely like if you are at work etc. then you will have to pay for a LTE based unit (Halo/Spot-on). This means you will be paying a mon

Tracker problems for my rescue dog

GPS Tracker gesucht

E-Collars
Dogtra pathfinder 2 - ecollar with tracking. Can set perimeter to notify you, or a perimeter to beep / vibrate/ shock + notify you (personally don’t recommend perimeter shocks) or a distance from handler for when you’re on hikes. No subscription but pretty costly Tractive GPS collar. Tracking only,

Invisible Fence
We have 40 acres and one of our two viszlas we have had trouble with him running off the property. We did not want to pay for a subscription for the service when we were shopping GPS collars. We went with the Dogtra Pathfinder 2 e fence collars. They use GPS, we live far out in the country and don't

My reason I'd NEVER buy another tractive collar / subscription
For 2 years now I have been using Dogtra Pathfinder 2 for my pup (dog now). She’s 115lb and the cheaper mini version works great. It’s super accurate with no subscription fees. The only downsides are I have to turn it off while she’s in the house because of gps interference, and I need to charge it

Escape artist fencing recommendations
Currently using dogtra pathfinder 2 similar to halo no subscription only inconvenience is that the controler relies on one of ur personal devices to observe GPS data. Was using my phone have since switched to using a spare tablet and WiFi to control system. But for 400 and no subscription beats the
