FWIW, I have the Rouge Dior lipstick in 999 velvet, and the formula is incredibly dry and difficult to apply. It claims to be hydrating but it’s VERY matte and thick. I never reach for it when I want a red lip. Brand isn’t always everything.

For me right now it's offering as the gold welcome gift something called "Rouge Dior Duo Set". No picture so not sure exactly what it is but from some online research it looks like it may be a lipstick/nail polish set. I'm not interested in that so I'm waiting to see if it changes to something else.
