FWIW, I have the Rouge Dior lipstick in 999 velvet, and the formula is incredibly dry and difficult to apply. It claims to be hydrating but it’s VERY matte and thick. I never reach for it when I want a red lip. Brand isn’t always everything.

The box should have a little black velvet baggie that you can use to protect it if you use it. Its just plastic with paint so without that bag to store, the blue print wears off and then the silver can wear off too if you just chuck it in your bag because it looks like metal. For me right now it's offering as the gold welcome gift something called "Rouge Dior Duo Set". No picture so not sure exactly what it is but from some online research it looks like it may be a lipstick/nail polish set. I'm not interested in that so I'm waiting to see if it changes to something else.
