What's the Best Espresso Machine for Home Use Widely Loved by Aficionados?

Okay, know that is probably entry level for espresso. Doesn't mean you can't get something good but it might not be a forever setup. Best advice is to make sure you're getting a good grinder as that's the more important of the two. There are a lot of options still, and as some of said it's probably

What are the things you wish you had known when starting out in the espresso world?

I wish I had purchased a manual lever machine instead of my semi auto machine. Would have spent WAY less to get BETTER espresso with only a small increase in workflow effort. Don’t care about milk drinks so not a consideration. Related to #1 wish I would have spent more money on my grinder. I have a

UPDATE [DF54 clogging]

Can you link the declumper kit? My DF64 gen 2 clumps like crazy. I can't merely WDT like any tutorial would tell you - I have to literally stab the clumps against the side of the portafilter to get them to separate. Anything less and I'm just moving them around.

Why SHOULDN'T I buy the DF64? [$600]

If you are sensitive to loud and/or high pitched noise, the DF64 might be a dealbreaker for you. I have the gen 2 and it can get ear-piercingly loud at times. James Hoffman did a <£500 grinder shootout which included the DF64 gen2 and he included a soundtest of the grinders. The DF64 was louder than

Recommend a grinder to pair with Profitec Go please

Everyone seems to be saying df64 gen 2 but this comment makes me nervous because I’m not very handy lmao. What do you mean by aligning burrs and setting zero point haha this will be my first expensive grinder 😂

Why SHOULDN'T I buy the DF64? [$600]

The retention is incredible on the 064S. The knocker mechanism is excellent and also removes the need for RDT. I've never done it once, and not gunking your beans up with water also helps keep the inside of your grinder gunk-free. If I use the knocker properly, I have less retention than my scale ca

Fancy grinder with cheap/basic espresso maker?

I had regular bambino and df64 gen 2 for 5 years and do wish I had gotten the niche zero. The df64 is fine of course. The Bambino is very fast with heating up and froths milk well. It’s the best starter machine!

What grinder is everyone using?

Mazzer Philos. It’s fricken amazing. Almost zero retention. Had a DF64 Gen 2 but it clogged all the time.

What's the Best Coffee Grinder currently that you'll recommend buying for Home Baristas?

Do you think the DF64 Gen 2 is comparable to the Starseeker E64? Another difference i noticed was the mechanism on cleaning the grinders, the DF64 seemed to be less easier to do. Or does the grinding make up for it?
