Frustrations with DF64 gen 2
I've had the DF64 gen 2 for a few years (original burrs) and not had any issues with clogging whatsoever. I do spritz the beans before grinding which I feel also helps reduce static/retention, and pump the bellows lightly while grinding to prevent retention from building up. I also pump the bellows

DF54 vs Fellow Opus Gen 2
Df64 gen 2 is the go. Comes with metal cup already. Barely any retention with the bellows. Doesn’t make a mess at all with new electrode setup. No need to spritz beans unless you’re maybe doing pour over grind.

Sage Smart Grinder Pro vs. DF64 Gen2

DF54 --> Mazzer Philos / Lagom P64? [$1000 USD]
I keep seeing these posts about clogging or static on the 54. I've got a df64 gen 2, do these have similar issues? I haven't noticed any clogging, and the bellows help with reducing retained grounds. Is this an option OP?

Why is the grinder game so stressful…?
I have loved my df64 gen 2 regardless of what everyone else says. No retention no fuss just align the burrs and it’s been a workhorse daily for like 2 years. It’s pretty cheap all things considered.

Eureka Mignon zero 65AP vs DF54 vs DF64 [€550]
I've had the df64 gen 2 for about a year now. No real issues with it. Overall I'd say it's okay. Doesn't have a premium feel to it, but it costs 360 bucks. I RDT to help with static, but it will still accumulate over time. Retention is not an big issue with the bellows, but it's a crude solution for

Why SHOULDN'T I buy the DF64? [$600]
I have a DF64 Gen 2 upgraded w SSP burrs. The base unit was USD 400 a few years ago when it first came out. It's good for what it is and the cost. Gets the job done and I used the savings to upgrade the burrs. It's not winning any design awards, noisy, static grounds on the spout, retention is just

Grinder pairing - grind by weight or high end single dose
DF64 Gen 2 here. I freeze my beans in 19.5g lots (using medical grade test tubes) when they reach peak (around 8-10 days depending on the bean). 19.5g goes in and I always get 19.4g or 19.5g out. Plus I love the industrial look of the thing!

Grinder change [€500-700]
I know people have strong opinions on it, but I am very happy with my DF64 gen 2. Excellent range so you can grind fine(r) even for very light roasts/hard beans. And the bellows blow retained grounds out like a charm.
