I like built-ins, such as the Dell Ultrasharp U2725QE. Does daisy-chain displayport[1], has built-in ethernet etc. All your set and forget usb connections go into it, this frees up the usb ports on your laptop for ad-hoc connections like usb sticks. This also reduces cable clutter massively. [1] One

I work with some architects. They all have Mac Book Pro 16". And external docking monitors. HP Z27k until they quick making them. Our last 2 are Dell U2725QE. A single cable to the laptop gives power to the laptop, and also have Ethernet and 2 USB A ports off the display and I think a USB C port). 2

You have a gaming focused monitor so colour accuracy is not priority despite it being IPS. If it is yours then buy a decent IPS from the productivity range, like Asus ProArt or Dell Ultrasharp. The problem will be trying to match your MacBook Pro Display closely: it’s very high resolution (200+ PPI,

I'm not really into the newest IPS monitors but for your use case probably going for a mini led while not needed, would be a huge improvement over the typical fast ips. Around 1500 led zones is the average new mini led monitor amount. So, maybe going for the Acer Nitro XV275K P3biipruzx, for the INN

Save yourself a lot of money and get a Dell U2725QE. Only 1/3 the price of an Apple Display, and to my eyes it performs better than the Apple Display, plus it has inbuilt Thunderbolt 4 hub and plenty of ports (and KVM functionality as well). The perfect display for a Mac Mini. 🤓

Looking for exactly the same - I've landed on Dell U2725QE + (I think BetterDisplayPro will solve the 5k clarity problem that people are mentioning - not sure yet). Has 140W PD, so can keep my mac powered, I believe it also has KVM switch although I've heard flaky reviews of that - can just prolly g

Hi I am using Dell U2725QE in Daisy Chain mode. It works very well. I have Daisy Chained it to Apple Studio Display (2022). I have tried both Dell Precision and Apple Silicon laptops and it works with them. I am using Thunderbolt 4 cables. Good luck with your setup!

GPT-5.4 Thinking: If I were buying one for a MacBook Pro 16" M1 and spending 8–10 hours/day coding, I’d choose the Dell U2725QE. It’s the most complete fit for your priorities: strong eye-comfort features, excellent ergonomics, single-cable docking, and a better panel than the usual 27" 4K office di
