I'm purchasing a monitor setup for a home office. I'm primarily looking at text for document editing/review, email, video calls, etc. I'm upgrading from a 27" 1080p screen, which is horribly grainy.

I find the coating a little too grainy. If I open a white background in MacOS in the browser and display it on the monitor, it appears like being "dirty/shimmering/". Yeah I bought the Dell S2725QS (27" 4K 120Hz IPS) just to compare it to my 10 year old Benq 1440p 60Hz IPS monitor. I may return it if it is not drastically better. Seems like a solid price for a 4K 120Hz IPS panel. DP1.4 should be able to just handle it at 10-bit. On a 7800XT but I don't mind using FSR when I have to. Seems like it only supports VRR over HDMI though.

I'm more worried about stuff like white uniformity and response times. Can't seem to find muc
