Opened up my laptop today and this happened

I mean dell latitude or precision 5000 series is also a good buy if refurbished. thinkpad p-series and t-series too, but zbooks are also good, i personally own a precision 7560, so i can reccomend it, but its kinda as heavy as a gaming laptop.

Any places that have good deals on laptops/computers in STL?

I second this. I'm in IT and I buy all my laptops from here. When buying refurbished, always go with a business grade model. They're built better than consumer grade. I buy Dells, so go with a Latitude or Precision (sorry, I don't know much about HPs or Lenovos). I just bought a bunch of 3 year old

What is the best laptop under $ 1000 US?

Used or refurb Dell precision, thinkpad p series, or hp zbook series. These are the best laptops for graphical intensive work applications. Precision 7560 is around $600 and is a decent machine.

finding a machine for solidworks

I bought a dell precision 7560 from ebay, with 64gb ram, 2tb SSD, RTX A4000 video card w/ i9-11950H for $800 on ebay. It is a beast for solidworks. I just hooked it up to nice display and wireless keyboard/mouse. Way more cost effective than building a rig, which is the route I started on. Highly re

Computer repair

Oh no! That's awful, and I'm sorry. I'm not sure there's any coming back from that one, though to be honest, that's a scenario I've never dealt with, so I might be wrong. Have you opened it up yet? Most laptops are held together with small Phillips head screws. I recommend opening up the bottom cove
