I mean dell latitude or precision 5000 series is also a good buy if refurbished. thinkpad p-series and t-series too, but zbooks are also good, i personally own a precision 7560, so i can reccomend it, but its kinda as heavy as a gaming laptop.

I second this. I'm in IT and I buy all my laptops from here. When buying refurbished, always go with a business grade model. They're built better than consumer grade. I buy Dells, so go with a Latitude or Precision (sorry, I don't know much about HPs or Lenovos). I just bought a bunch of 3 year old

I would recommend the WD22TB4 for your Dell laptop. Try looking at used/refurbished listings on eBay. Here’s an example I just pulled from searching: https://ebay.us/m/53TBW6 I do highly recommend this dock for Dell laptops. I use it for both my work laptop (Precision 7560) and personal laptops (Lat

Look at Lenovo yoga. Small, light, reasonably powerful. The graphics isn’t as good, but good enough. I’ve had one at work for a travel computer and can do cad on it. Microsoft surface isn’t horrible either. I’m a ME, and use a dell precision 7560 daily. Catia, MRP software development (api’s, custom

https://frame.work As modular as a laptop can get. And Dell supports Linux too, got a beefy Precision 7560 couple years ago, still rocking it.

Keep in mind, everything apple does they control. Servicing a Mac laptop besides the new neon is still a miserable experience. You can repair dell precision laptops. I've witnessed a tech take apart one and put it back together, right at my own house, twice over 10 yrs. Had a dell precision I bought

I'm sure it's been said many times in this subreddit. There are so many things that can contribute to issues with SolidWorks that blaming SolidWorks outright is foolish. During my years as an AE supporting a wide range of users from guy in garage to companies with 100s of seats, 90% of the time, the
