Loads of people have had this issue with precision 5560 and 5550 so its more like a firmware issue than a physical one. Dells software is so shitty sometimes. Id recommend installing the new firmware and also trying updating and-downloading the drivers for the touchpad. If it doesnt work use a mouse

How important is battery runtime to you? A Latitude 7440 with 56% battery health (oof that's huge degradation for just three years old) is probably still going to get better battery runtime than a Precision 5560 at 81% battery health, because the Latitude is drawing less than a quarter of the power
