Precision 5550 only powers on when plugged in.?.?.
I had same issue with third party aftermarket battery. It couldn't start like not enought power from battery. But started up with charger pluged in and worked fine. As a fellow heavy Photoshop and Premiere Pro user, you'll want the heavy-hitting hardware. But just keep in mind, the more powerful the hardware, the shorter the battery life (and vice versa) generally speaking if you plan to go mobile. Battery
Original Dell battery is about $100+ but 3rd party is half that on Amazon. ($40) I would recommended getting the 3rd party one so you have it for at least a year or two.
