Going to update next year with the a19 pro. Already have a decent windows machine (165hz, Ryzen 7th gen m, 4060m, 16gb $900 machine on sale) but I’m tired of the windows part and Dell g15 build quality (battery died right after warranty period, brother’s machine had a faulty 8gb stick)

awcc is notoriously flaky. dell's latest update broke it for a lot of people on the g15. try downloading an older version from dell's support site - version 5.5 or 5.6 often works better. use revo uninstaller to completely wipe the current install including registry entries before reinstalling. also

I have a gaming laptop - Dell g15 5520 - and advise you to take the battery concern SERIOUSLY. Mine runs google for two hours on battery life.

Yeah the Omen 16 display is mid, that's a legit complaint. Coming from a Dell G15 basically anything modern will feel like a massive upgrade tho. i feel you, driver stuff on the G15 can be a pain. had similar with mine where the trackpad would get weird after updates. what helped me before was going into device manager and uninstalling the PS/2 mouse entry completely, then restarting without reinstalling manually. also check dell's support si

Any solution found? dell g15 5515 same issue, gpu refuses to go beyond 40 watts no matter what. gpu temps and hotspots temps are both 70c at best idk whats going on

Yeah you're fine. You can use the Dell software to adjust the charging setting, you can set it to always plugged in. I think by doing this it limits the charge to 80% improving battery longevity. And obviously with you exercising the battery every now and again you should be fine. I also have the G1
