Best starter espresso machine [$500]
The grinder matters more than the machine, and you should budget a decent amount for that too. You also will likely need to budget $100-150 or so for accessories like a scale, decent tamper, distribution tools, and in some cases a nicer portafilter and basket. Some recommended combos: De’Longhi Stil

Kto ma taką ekspres do kawy, proszę podzielić się swoją szczerą opinią, wygodna?
DeLonghi Dedica albo Stilosa będą pewnie w podobnej cenie, są polecane przez entuzjastów i nie są marki Smeg.

Grinder over machine
Actually, that De'Longhi Stilosa is a perfectly fine machine. The Opus (as a former owner) also has very good grinding capabilities, but will eventually drive you crazy with retention issues. Most of us develop the "Opus rock" where you violently rock the machine back and forth and pump the lid whil

Is this machine good quality and worth buying for that price ? [ 150-300 $ CAD]
No and No. Most machines at this price point are junk but if you can find a De'Longhi Stilosa, you could work with that.

Breville bambino [$300] vs many other espresso machines in [$100-$150]
Do some research on the difference between pressurized and non-pressurized espresso extraction. Less expensive machines like the ones you mentioned brew pressurized. This allows them to work with pre-ground coffee. However, pressurized brewing puts a low ceiling on the quality of espresso produced.

put together a quick table comparing beginner espresso machines under $300[$300]
Some minor suggestions to improve your table: Stilosa's price did spike up to $150 when US tariffs first kicked in, but more recently stabilized around $100, making Stilosa a great value for the money. It's easily upgradable for non-pressurized brewing. You can also bundle in DeLonghi's ECP series m

Do I even like espresso?
This is easy to figure out. Go to a good local cafe (I'd say NOT Starbucks, but a small private cafe with a good reputation), try an espresso or a double (doppio) espresso, and perhaps also a macchiato (not cappuccino or latte which are mostly milk). Don't eat anything with it, and perhaps do it the

Found at Goodwill for $5
That's a score if I’ve ever seen one! Now, go to Dollar Tree and buy yourself some descaler for $1.50. It's right by the coffee and it's the exact same as De’Longhi’s but with a different name. Works great imho. I paid $28 for my Stilosa and best $28 I’ve ever splurged.

I think someone else mentioned this earlier in the thread but the DeLonghi Stilosa is probably the only machine at this price point you should consider. If you are open to manual espresso and espresso only, not milk drinks, then you could consider The Flair Espresso Makers

Buying an espresso machine is a game changer
Yep - I have a De’Longhi Stilosa and Amazon accessories and I love it so far. I do have a Baratza Encore grinder but not the ESP and I had that already. I never did the capsules, the closest I got to espresso before this was a Moka Pot or concentrated stuff like the Aeropress and Oxopress.
