No and No. Most machines at this price point are junk but if you can find a De'Longhi Stilosa, you could work with that.

Do some research on the difference between pressurized and non-pressurized espresso extraction. Less expensive machines like the ones you mentioned brew pressurized. That's a score if I’ve ever seen one! Now, go to Dollar Tree and buy yourself some descaler for $1.50. It's right by the coffee and it's the exact same as De’Longhi’s but with a different name. Works great imho. I paid $28 for my Stilosa and best $28 I’ve ever splurged.

I think someone else mentioned this earlier in the thread but the DeLonghi Stilosa is probably the only machine at this price point you should consider. If you are open to manual espresso and espresso only, not milk drinks, then you could consider The Flair Espresso Makers
