Well, PIA, ExpressVPN and Cyber Ghost are all owned by the same company. The same company that was well-known for distributing malware and adware before their rebrand in 2018.

This may or may not matter to you but I have always loved PIA until 2019 when they were purchased by the Israeli firm Kape. I went digging to find an alternative and it turns out Kape also owns ExpressVPN and CyberGhost. Now I stick with Switzerland-based Proton since I don’t want to support Israel

Vpn companies are really just shell companies of larger companies, it would be a long time to get to the original server logs, and by that time logs are rotated already out or there are no logs because many companies use ram disks now and on reboot nothing is left behind. I was looking for this comment, a shady company secretly buys up PIA and Cyber Ghost are not while hiding the country they originate from sounds so many alarms.
