Anyone else noticing the stinky smell around Newark/Harrison today?

It's the Darling Ingredients rendering plant. They refine animal refuse into fertilizer and other products. It's been an issue for years: https://patch.com/new-jersey/newarknj/newark-plant-sickening-community-putrid-odors-lawsuit-says Get a few air purifiers, they really help a lot. Make sure that t

Affordable air purifiers

Air Doctor is overpriced. Grab a Levoit Vital 200S-P or Coway AP-1512HH — both under $200, True HEPA, quiet, filters are easy to find. For even cheaper, Levoit Core 300 ($100) works fine for a bedroom. Skip the fancy stuff. True HEPA + carbon is all you need. Here's my list of budget picks here, if

Allergies

Want a good nights sleep? Don't mind sleeping with your bedroom door closed? A HEPA purifier was a game changer when I discovered it. It makes getting through the day a bit more bearable. Even better if your workplace location makes it feasible to put one in there as well (like having your own offic

Good indoor air purifier for dealing with the wildfire smoke?

Yeah, wildfire smoke is rough. The main thing is True HEPA - that's what actually catches the tiny smoke particles. I've been using the Levoit Vital 200S-P. It's got a smoke CADR of 250, auto mode, and sleep mode is super quiet (24dB). Around $180. Coway AP-1512HH is also a classic - people have bee

Why does he put his butt against the air purifier

Speaking of air purifiers, my guy destroyed the wire of my coway air purifier. I just asked them what I can do about going about a repair. The response was I'm out of warranty. I just responded asking if that meant they're saying it's not fixable. If that's the case I do not recommend their air puri

Air purifiers without Coway's green pesticide filters?

Here's a useful comment + thread on it from 2 months ago. This user claims they tested the Thiambandenzole (?). To be 52 times less than daily limit...but only on medium and then claim "almost no one uses the unit on high for 12 hours" ( I think many people run their purifiers on high pretty continu

Shrinking nasal turbinates to help with nose breathing

Yikes, yeah $1200 is expensive! I can definitely recommend the Coway HP-1512: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BTKAPUUCoway AP-1512HH Mighty Air Purifier with True HEPA and Eco Mode, black/silver, 16.8 x 18.3 x 9.6$233.68 EDIT: Out of curiosity, I just googled to see if there's a more recent model, ther

Dreame AirPursue "PM10" review (vs. Dyson Big+Quiet BP04)

Except that the Dyson does only ONE thing well - move air. The sensor is cheap, the filter is low quality, and it’s insanely expensive. A Coway 250 cleans air many times as well, looks retro stylish, and costs $250. A Coway 450 moves as much air as a Dyson, cleans 10x as well, and costs under $500.

Coway purifiers no longer "True HEPA" or "Green True HEPA"; HEPA designation appears to be applicable to speed 1 only in most models?

I have noticed that on the filter product page for filters: https://cowaymega.com/products/airmega-200m-ap-1512hh-filter-set Coway now states that its only HEPA at speed 1. Will cover this in more detail in a upcoming video.

Good indoor air purifier for dealing with the wildfire smoke?

I became a Coway fanboy after last year's fires. I have 3 of them at home and 2 at work, bought one for my parents & love them all. The cylindrical Airmega 100 model is good for small bedrooms & offices. The Airmega AP-1512 "Mighty" is larger & is good for living rooms or large bedrooms. The big squ
