The AHAM 2/3 rule stipulates you need a minimum of 140 CFM CADRs. If you're prone to wildfires, Smoke CADR needs to equal a room's area; in that case, you'd need a min. Smoke CADR of 210 CFM. The Airmega AP-1512HH Mighty will not tackle VOCs, smoke odors, or visible dust. To answer your question, it

Blue Air makes some nice quieter ones. I have a 211i and on auto mode it’s very quiet unless I stir up a lot of dust. The Coway Airmega 200M (and it’s near clone the AP-1512HH) is a tiny bit louder and not as nice looking but is also cheaper.

I'm thinking of just using a second machine, say a Winix C535 from home, doubling up and running both of medium speed, which would likely give me a

honestly the Coway Airmega AP-1512HH gets recommended so much that people forget to check if it actually fits their room size. it's not a large space unit. people buy it for open plan living rooms and wonder why air quality doesn't improve
