The "pet-specific" stuff is mostly marketing. What actually matters is True HEPA + washable pre-filter so fur doesn't clog it up. The one with the flat top for cats is the Levoit Vital 200S-P, works great, quiet, under $200. Coway AP-1512HH is another solid pick. Here's a list I put together if you

For 112 sq ft on a $120 budget, you don't need anything fancy. Check out the Levoit Core 200S. CADR of 110 CFM, True HEPA filter that catches 99.97% of dust and allergens down to 0.3 microns, and it's super quiet (26 dB on low) . Covers rooms up to 183 sq ft, so perfect for your space. Sure! I have the Coway AP-1512 in my living room and the Coway Airmega 300 in my bedroom. Big fan of the Coway products. If you keep an eye on marketplace or Craigslist you can get a good deal on them secondhand since so many people bought filters during the fires and end up selling them

I ended up with 2 of these Coway AP-1512 air purifiers (https://a.co/d/0cQJerTh) $150 on amazon now is a decent sale price. We have one in our living room and one in the bedroom. Rooms on different floors of a ho

I have a coway AP-1512 for my bedroom or similarly sized rooms and it works great. It has a double pre-filter that removes hair and odors as well as a thick sturdy hepa filter that seems to collect a lot of particles over time. It is relatively quiet vs other air filters and also very powerful (i.e.

Air sealing is your best friend. I wrote a big list of easy tips for air sealing common leaks here. Use GE #2 zero-VOC caulk, and I also seal around the electrical outlet gaskets too (just put the cover back on while it's still wet so it still fits, and try not to glue it on either). This results in

Been there with allergy stuff. For her bedroom, grab the Levoit Core 300S, it's tiny, quiet, and just works . Living room? Coway AP-1512HH. Quiet on low, has a little color light that shows you if the air's bad, and you can find filters anywhere. Both have the washable pre-filter thing, saves you fr

Yikes, yeah $1200 is expensive! I can definitely recommend the Coway HP-1512: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BTKAPUUCoway AP-1512HH Mighty Air Purifier with True HEPA and Eco Mode, black/silver, 16.8 x 18.3 x 9.6$233.68 EDIT: Out of curiosity, I just googled to see if there's a more recent model, ther

For a small bedroom with asthma and wanting to avoid getting sick, grab the Levoit Vital 200S-P or Coway AP-1512HH. Both have True HEPA (catches 99.97% of particles), quiet sleep modes, and won't break the bank. A CR box works too, great for budget, super high CADR, but can be loud. Just run it 24/7
