I have a spouse with some asthma issues who starts struggling as soon as it get smokey. I ended up with 2 of these Coway AP-1512 air purifiers (https://a.co/d/0cQJerTh) $150 on amazon now is a decent sale price. We have one in our living room and one in the bedroom. Rooms on different floors of a ho

I have a coway AP-1512 for my bedroom or similarly sized rooms and it works great. It has a double pre-filter that removes hair and odors as well as a thick sturdy hepa filter that seems to collect a lot of particles over time. It is relatively quiet vs other air filters and also very powerful (i.e.

Air sealing is your best friend. I wrote a big list of easy tips for air sealing common leaks here. Use GE #2 zero-VOC caulk, and I also seal around the electrical outlet gaskets too (just put the cover back on while it's still wet so it still fits, and try not to glue it on either). This results in

Been there with allergy stuff. For her bedroom, grab the Levoit Core 300S, it's tiny, quiet, and just works . Living room? Coway AP-1512HH. Quiet on low, has a little color light that shows you if the air's bad, and you can find filters anywhere. Both have the washable pre-filter thing, saves you fr

For a small bedroom with asthma and wanting to avoid getting sick, grab the Levoit Vital 200S-P or Coway AP-1512HH. Both have True HEPA (catches 99.97% of particles), quiet sleep modes, and won't break the bank. A CR box works too, great for budget, super high CADR, but can be loud. Just run it 24/7

AirDoctor is overpriced for what it is. Yes, it filters down to 0.003 microns, but for asthma in a bedroom, regular True HEPA (0.3 microns) is plenty. Bigger issue, filter replacements run like $216 a year . That's crazy. Get a Coway AP-1512HH or Levoit Vital 200S-P instead. True HEPA, quiet, auto s

For a city with bad air quality, you want something with good CADR and True HEPA. Skip the gimmicks. Coway AP-1512HH is a tank — 361 sq ft coverage, 24dB quiet, auto mode, been Wirecutter's top pick for years . Levoit Vital 200S-P is also solid — washable pre-filter, pet mode, app control, under $20

You're on the right track. Skip the Pomoron — too small for a bedroom. Grab a Levoit Vital 200S or Coway AP-1512HH. True HEPA catches viruses, dust, mold (99.97% down to 0.3 microns). Both have quiet sleep modes (24-27dB) and auto sensors. Run it 24/7. Hope you feel better, I wrote about air purifie

For dust mite allergies, the Levoit Vital 200S-P or Coway AP-1512HH are both solid picks. True HEPA catches 99.97% of particles down to 0.3 microns, including dust mites, pollen, and pet dander . Levoit has a washable pre-filter (less money on replacements), quiet sleep mode (around 24dB), and auto

The Coway ap-1512 is probably cheapest one worth buying, IMHO. You should also think about running cost - keeping filters reasonably fresh. Generic Coway filters are readily available and good quality, plus it’s energy efficient and quiet.
