24/7, 5 months straight of Coway 400

I have two Coway 400s, Coway ap1512hh, Coway 250, and most recently a Levoit EverestAir-P. They all get dust behind the filter like what you have, but they definitely help according to the monitors i have around the house. I do recommend the Levoit EverestAir-P if you can find it on sale as it has a

Should I still get a Coway?

I have 3x Coway AirMega 250 units (one in each bedroom) and have not had any chemical smell issues at all FWIW. I’m guessing it can depend on the people, as some are more sensitive to certain smells than others.

HEPA air filter recommendation

I have a coway AP-1512 for my bedroom or similarly sized rooms and it works great. It has a double pre-filter that removes hair and odors as well as a thick sturdy hepa filter that seems to collect a lot of particles over time. It is relatively quiet vs other air filters and also very powerful (i.e.

Looking for a purifier that’s good for an asthmatic cat (best for particle/dust removal) w/ NO OZONE and true hepa

In general, purifiers aren't good at reducing visible dust particles as these are large and heavy compared to "invisible" pollutants like PM2.5. See the sticky post at the top of the sub. Have a look at their product pages. The Coway Airmega 350 has higher Clean Air Delivery Rates (CADRs) than the A

Air Purifiers Reccomendations Coway/ winix/ levoit

Funnily enough, all 3 brands are about the same loudness. And all 3 perform around the same, as the top 3 in recent testing. It really comes down to preference, whatever special features you like (if any) and even aesthetics/design. I love Levoits myself because they are simple, but affordable and v

Levoit Core 300 fails to lower HCH0 and TVOC's (and probably most commercial grade purifiers). Any alternatives?

Well, the larger and more premium Coway models (Airmega Mighty2 AP-1512N / 250 / 300 / 350 / 400 / 450 / ProX) would probably tend to have greater activated carbon weights compared to the Levoit Core 300. But in general, Coway isn't well-suited to regular and/or high concentrations of VOCs.

Hey can any pet owners or people with allergies recommend a Purifier to me

IQ Air is one of the best as the Health Pro Plus Xe I think does a good 300ish CFM while also having I think 15 pounds carbon pellets + related to absorb odors/VOCs/smoke etc. Although if your allergies are purely particulate based you can get 400CFM of particulate coverage for like 90 bucks with a

Which one to choose!

AirMega 150 is undersized for your situation. I personally prefer powerful units even for small rooms, they filter quickly and keep noise low. An undersized purifier will either run constantly on high or fail to keep up. The 150 will work, but expect louder operation and faster filter wear. You migh

Best air purifier for cats

See the AutoModerator comment. Purifiers aren't good at reducing cat hair as it's very large and heavy compared to "invisible" pollutants like PM2.5. Hair floating very close to the intake will be captured (on a high or the highest airflow speed), but you won't see reductions throughout a room. Free

Considering an apartment near a highway, will a very high quality air purifier save me?

Ozone is well removed by chemically untreated activated carbon. The HealthMate Plus has potassium iodide (KI) impregnated carbon and zeolite. For something like NO₂, I would try to confirm with someone more familiar with chemistry as to the exact mechanisms of capture/action and possible products of
