Best air purifier money can buy?
See the AutoModerator comment. Air purifiers aren't good at reducing visible dust or pet hair as both are large and heavy compared to "invisible" pollutants like PM2.5. See the sticky post at the top of the subreddit and our other subreddit resources on dust: I need an air purifier for dust. What sh

Fellow Redditors asked for DIY air Purifier
Decent purifiers cost upwards of 15k ( Eg: coway airmega 150). Under 10k small air purifiers are useless because of less CADR and long time required for filtration + frequent need for proprietary filter replacement

Air Purifier Coway or Agaro?
Using a Coway Airmega 150 since 2021. No issues till now. It's not used daily but I've kept the dust filter clean and never had to bother with the carbon filter. Replacements look readily available.

Kitten has Asthma and now I need an air purifier for my baby. Help?
keep in mind that multiple smaller air purifiers are generally better than one super large one. i've heard round air purifiers aren't as good as "block-y" looking ones (the round ones have cylindrical filters that don't work as well). avoid ionizing/bipolar purifiers, as these produce ozone. i think

135+ days of “Severe” AQI in Mumbai. We’re inhaling poison. It's enough.
Coway airmega 150 and 250 as per your room size. Been using for a month now. Had to buy another, it's just that goood! Much recommended. I bought 2 airmega 150s, not 250.

What air purifiers are good
A few things. Blueair purifiers use an always-on ionizer. This charges the mechanical filter to enhance particulates capture. It is possible for the ionizer to change your gaseous air chemistry. Whether or not it's causing a stuffy nose is hard to say. Clean Air Delivery Rates (CADRs) are an importa

Is there real value in an air purifier? Did you notice a real difference?
If i were re-buying for a large space, id consoder trying to get my hands on the airmega 240 but it seems to be out of stock https://cowaymega.com/products/airmega-240 Or the airmega250 https://cowaymega.com/products/airmega-250?srsltid=AfmBOopMFwg2kp4uHXLg6CFV-JDBNwspkjiAVJNPEuy2c7nXEakKbirz which

Help me find a good option!!
Definitely avoid the PuroAir pictured here. It's astroturfed to death, not high quality, and the company tried suing a legitimate review website for an unfavorable review. I wouldn't buy the Dyson recommended by someone else either. Dyson is known for glossy marketing and poor performance for many o

Prime Day - Coway AirMega vs Winix 5500 vs Levoit Vital 200s
Per the AHAM 2/3 rule, you need a bare minimum of 367 CFM Clean Air Delivery Rates (CADRs). But CADRs should be even higher if you're close to roadway traffic. Only one of these purifiers would not be enough. In other words, you would need 3 Coway Airmega 150 units or 2 Levoit Vital 200S units or 2

Should I not get a Levoit?
I tossed up with the Vital 200S and Coway Airmega 150. Went with Coway. Great brand reputation and True HEPA.
