I've bought similar headphone ~2 weeks ago (Corsair HS80 MAX). Media control (like volume controller, and buttons on headset just works out of the box without anything extra, Fedora 42 KDE). I experience 0 strange sounds using via dongle so far. Instead of iCUE I use https://github.com/jurkovic-niko

I have the HS80 Wireless (not Max) and I did not need paying anything or used any keys. Just install Dolby Access from the Microsoft Store, select the sound input for your headphones and you should be good to go. All this in Windows 11. I do not remember if you had to install Corsair iCUE for your P
