APEX 4

The Vertix2s is the oldest and least powerful watch in the Coros lineup. And also somehow the most expensive. You probably want to look at the Apex 4, as other folks mentioned.

Coros watches offer impressive value for money. The Apex 4 can handle 100km easily. The battery life of the Coros watches is nuts considering their form factor.

I have switched from F955 to Apex 4 for many of the same reason you mentioned. Having no software update after 2-3y with garmin is crazy to me and for their low entry watch cost you can have a mid-high tier with coros. Apex 4 really need to deliver something really "New" to the table, if not from whole Sportwatch industry then at least from current Coros portfolio. Fenix 7 is over 3 years old, and definitely not receiving any more software updates. The Coros Apex 4 is band new and will continue receiving support and updates, plus it is much more responsive in terms of UI.
