How many bags do you have and what do you use them for?

I have two packs of similar size, a 28L Cor Surf, and a 30L mini MLC. Weirdly, the 28L has become the preferred bag for trips under seven days, and the MLC for all other trips. If the MLC was as physically flexible as the COR, it would be perfect. But it’s a tad rigid. My work bag, and occasional ex

What BIFL item did you underestimate it’s value but proved its worth?

Mystery Ranch was a little too military for my taste IIRC. I just bought an Osprey, and Alpaka and a COR Surf to see what suited me best for work. The Osprey actually felt relatively flimsy compared to the Alpaka Metro. Despite being the heavier of the two, I went for the Alpaka. The nylon feels lik

Best personal bag pick?

Which airline(s)? Look at the AER Go Pack. The ones you list are rather large for under seat. The Allpa 35 is actually oversized on depth for overhead let alone under a seat. It is 22 x 12 x 10in (56 x 30 x 25cm). The AER TP3 is 19" (48 cm) 13" (33 cm) 7.5" (19 cm). It will squeak by on some US lega

What toiletries bag are y’all using?

I like this one from COR Surf. Feels very well made. Love the waterproof zippers and it has a buckle to hang. I actually use on of the pockets for electronics. Plus it was only 25 bucks.

What are your inexpensive favorites?

Even the CorSurf is great and not expensive. Don’t remember if it’s also water resistant

"COR surf" backpack.... thoughts and opinions?

I have the Cotopaxi Allpa 35L and COR Surf Island Hopper 2.0 28L. Been a Cotopaxi fan for awhile, but my Allpa just gets less and less use these days. This is partly due to the fact that I’ve been reducing my one bag content so I don’t need the space of a 35L anymore, BUT I also don’t feel the Allpa

One Carry On and One Personal Item packer.....compression cube suggestions

I use compression, ziplock and non compression cubes. Non compression are Dot Dot narrow rectangles. Compression are tripped knockoffs. I have a medium and a small on most trips. The elongated Dot Dot are for heavier pack trips. My next trip will have a few gallon zip locs in the bag, with my winter

Do you always wish you went with a smaller backpack? 40L seems too big and cumbersome

I travel a lot with my grown son. He’s 32, fit and 6’. He carries a 38L. His clothes are bigger, so he needs the extra space. I’m 63F, fit and 5’4”. I only need a 28L to fit the same amount of stuff in. We both love the CorSurf Island Hoppers for their flexibility. However, If I’m just going somewhe

Downsizing from 55L! Allpa 35L or 42L?

I have a dupe: COR Surf 34L bag, it's waterproof and it's literally perfect. Currently about to take it to Japan for 3 weeks!

Seeking Backpack Recommendations for 1.5 weeks of travel (+Waterproof-ness?)

I have the Cor surf bag and adore it. No quality complaints from me. I find it very comfortable to wear and love all the compartments. Love that it’s waterproof too.
