Travel advice with GRiiix

So, next week I’m flying to London, then taking trains to Edinburgh and Paris for a total of about 12 days traveling. I currently carry a Canon Eos RP with three lenses, and a GRiiix. Would it be a bad decision for me to leave the canon kit at home and do 12 days with only the GRiiix? The idea of no

First attempt at Stacking Orion

I found Open Live Stacking by Artyom Bellis (https://github.com/artyom-beilis/OpenLiveStacker/wiki/Open-Live-Stacker-Manual) recently and used it last night in rural Kerala with very good skies and moderate humidity. The setup is travel friendly, I can use my smartphone and connect my mirrorless via

Considering the switch to mirrorless… but which one?

You want a mirrorless camera that’s affordable, lightweight, easy to focus, and full frame, and you already shoot Canon? Easy answer: get a Canon R8. You could also consider a Canon RP if you want to spend as little as possible, but the R8’s tech is supposed to be a pretty significant step up, espec

Looking for used camera + lens under $600 recommendations

Option 1: Canon 6D or 5D Mark iii (often $400 or less used) and a Canon EF 50 mm f/1.8 STM (around $100 used). These are some great dSLR bodies with beautiful imaging that still stands up today. Option 2: Save up a little more until around the end of the month for the Canon refurbished sale and pick

10L Sling V2 & Tech Pouch or 2 cameras

For those interested: you can fit a Tech Pouch very easily inside the 10L Sling V2 with room to spare for other items. This is my daily setup for work etc.

Alternatively, I also managed to comfortably fit 2 cameras with full-size lenses (Canon EOS RP with RF 135mm F1.8L and Canon EOS R6 MkII with

Cheapest mirrorless camera?

The Sony a6000 series that everyone is recommending is indeed the correct answer. There are so many of them floating around and the third party lens selection is huge and has many inexpensive options. The alternative answer is a used Canon EOS RP which I only mention because it’s essentially the exa

Help me decide on a budget friendly mirrorless.

Wrong community to ask this really, but personally I work with a Canon EOS RP for my digital stuff. Cost me 550 eur for the body, I've looked and K mount to EOS RF adapters go for 60-70 eur. Great little camera, very small and light.

Digital cameras permitted?

Brought in my Canon EOS RP with a 35mm lens on it the last 3 years and they do not care. They just don’t want you coming in with a full blown paparazzi camera set up. Lens I use is a little over the 2inch length but they aren’t getting rulers out to check
