Canon R6 II or Nikon Z6 III for portraits + travel

Here's a technical comparison https://www.rtings.com/camera/tools/compare/canon-eos-r6-mark-ii-vs-nikon-z-6iii/36079/51765?threshold=0.16 Photography wise they're both excellent and will come down to preference of what feels better in your hands and which UI you prefer If you have interest in video

Anyone come from Canon?

I use Canon Mirrorless at work (R6ii) and shoot Nikon for myself for 10+ years. The canon is nice, for sure, better AF than the Mk 1 and 2 z6's, it can do 4k60 with almost no crop, very capable hybrid. Colors are pretty good, a bit cold overall. Lenses are nice, but the ecosystem is pretty locked of

Canon C80/C400 vs FX3/FX6

Shooting a basketball doc right now with the C400, C50, and the Komodo X sometimes. The C400 and C50 are magic together and I assume the c80 as well. The codecs are beefy, the image is instantly gorgeous, and the bodies are miles above the fx6/fx3 for flexibility. The canon cinema cameras let me sho

Canon adds a 32-megapixel sensor and 7K video to the new EOS R6 Mark III

I have good news on the first point, my friend: Canon isn't claiming any particular technological leaps with this sensor, but our initial testing shows that it has even faster readout speeds than the lower-resolution chip found in the EOS R6 II. The R6 III has some truly impressive rolling shutter r

Make this make sense, GH7 costs more than the full frame S5II

Different use cases. May I remind you the GH5 came out in 2017 for $2k. And the original S5 launched in 2019 also for $2k. You should be comparing it more to the S5IIX. Or idk, like a Canon R6ii to the C70 (except not costing $5.5k, the audacity). One's a hybrid camera with surprisingly robust video

Does 4k matter for Fansly? (Mostly Solo Male Creator)

I have a 13 Pro Max and rarely record on 4K. my regular camera is a Canon R6 MK II which handles 4K very well. The end viewer doesn’t really care about 1080 versus 4K and 90% of the people couldn’t tell the difference if you put them side-by-side. As far as processing things, 4K takes up a lot more

Is the Canon M50 still a good choice for video + photography in 2026? Worth €450?

I have 2 x M50 bodies (mark I and II). For 2 years they were my main bodies. Shot everything from weddings to sports with them. Excellent quality cameras. The autofocus is sensational (Canon are the best in the business) and I had pretty much all the Canon lens + Sigma 16 and 56. For video, I only s

Double down on Canon while moving to interview filming from photography?

You have pretty great camera for docs really, and w24-70 is great too The main problem with canon is that it’s expensive not underperforming. Now if you wanted 2 more R6ii or r6iii and 3x24-70… it gets pricy. R5m1 is overheating but the rest is rather fine. I doubt 70-200 will be that useful but wit

Canon R6 Mark II or Sony Alpha 7 IV?

Yes you’re “stuck” using Canons lenses, but they’re easily the best lenses on the market at any focal length. Also, with a $30 adaptor you can use any EF Canon, Sigma, Tamron, etc lens opening up the R6 II to thousands of lenses from multiple parties. And whoever told you Canon video was no good ate

Camera advise

Not exactly budget friendly, but if budget isnt an issue I'd check out the Canon EOS R5 and R6 mk II. Each have strengths and weaknesses based on the kind of video you'll plan to shoot, and both will need high quality SD cards or a tether to a computer for extended videos, but for the vast majority
